Welcome!

With a population of well over two million residents, the City of Houston requires an extensive network of services and resources to meet the peoples’ needs. City Hall, with twenty-one departments and offices under its wing, has the potential of providing hundreds, if not thousands, of services to the citizens of Houston. While efforts have been made by the city to make these services and resources available online, not enough publicity is generated and many remain under-utilized by the Houston community.

Through the partnership between the City of Houston and Rice Center of Engineering Leadership, a team of Rice engineering students are developing a Mobile City Hall truck that will accomplish one overarching goal – bridging the gap between residents and government by bringing city services to residents.
